Why we exist
An insurer writes that the roof has aged out. The renewal has conditions. And the decision it forces is one you make perhaps twice in a lifetime, in a market that has quietly changed underneath you.
The names your neighbors used a decade ago are disappearing. Ask around for a roofer you can actually verify and the list comes back shorter every year, and shorter again the next.
Many of the polished brands that remain are consolidator-owned, built to be sold. The name on the truck can belong to a different owner before your warranty is half old.
Most roofs are closed up with no record of what lies beneath the surface. When the insurer, the appraiser, or the next buyer asks what was done, the honest answer is usually: nobody knows.
What you want is simple: one name, chosen once, held to a standard you can see, from a company that will still answer the phone when the roof is twelve years old.

Significant homes carry significant roofs — slate, tile, copper, complex geometries, and insurance files that demand documentation. We work with owners, and with the architects, estate managers, and advisors who care for these properties as a profession.
Commercial & Institutional
Corporate, institutional, and managed properties need a roofing partner that behaves like their other professional vendors: documented work, certificates in order, response times honored, records kept.
What we don't do, on purpose: we don't chase storms, we don't bid to be cheapest, and we don't roof tract construction. A firm that says yes to everything is held to nothing.
Where we work
Close enough to get back to you, and far enough that a good roof is worth the drive. Most of our work is in the Bay Area; if you are further out, ask, and we will tell you plainly whether we are the right people for it.
The company
Truehold exists because too much of this trade is now built to be sold — brands assembled, marked up, and exited while the roofs they installed are still young.
We are built the other way: one company, one license, one standard, owned to be kept. The license our work runs under stays in the name of the professional who earned it — you can verify it with the state, not just read it on our website. That is what "here to last" means: not a slogan, but a structure.
